Applying to universities
Almost all Bachelors/Masters applications go through the single national portal, universityadmissions.se. The First admission round (deadline mid-January for an Autumn-semester start) is the one non-EU/EEA students should use, because later rounds don't leave enough time for tuition payment, the residence permit, and housing before the semester starts.
Confirm the intake and the First-round deadline
RecommendedAutumn semester (the main intake, starting late August/September) has its First admission round application window roughly mid-October to mid-January, with a documents/fee-payment deadline shortly after (e.g. Autumn 2027: apply 16 Oct 2026 to 15 Jan 2027, supporting documents/fee by ~2 Feb 2027). A smaller Spring intake (starting January) exists at some universities with far fewer programmes open to new international students.
