United Kingdom University Admissions: Requirements and Intakes
Universities & admissions
UK admissions are direct and program-specific: undergraduate applications largely go through UCAS, while postgraduate (Masters/PhD) applications go straight to each university. There is no single national entrance exam; entry turns on prior academic results, the personal statement/SOP, and (for some courses) an interview or portfolio.

A CAS can only be issued by a university holding a valid Student sponsor licence, must not have been used in a previous granted or refused application, and must state the course dates, fees, and accommodation costs accurately, errors here are a common cause of visa refusal. Confirm the CAS details match the offer exactly before applying for the visa.
