Applying to universities
Applications go directly to each university (or through its own listed representatives) rather than a shared national portal. The two big intakes are Semester 1 (February/March) and Semester 2 (July); building in enough lead time before the visa stage is the main planning risk.
Lock the intake and each program's real deadline
Decide Semester 1 (starts ~Feb/Mar, applications commonly open 6 to 12 months ahead) or Semester 2 (starts ~Jul). Record the exact deadline per program, competitive programs and scholarship-linked places often close earlier than the university's general deadline.
